LT & Big Dee

Celebrate good times, c'mon...A Charger celeration! OK, not so fast. Still doubts swirl in my mind. Lingering doubts. But we did handle the Chiefs pretty handily in they're house. A house we don't like to visit, and where we are usually treated rudely and then get thrown out the door before the turkey hits the table. Happy holidaze! We do look a lot better despite the level of competition we are supposedly beating down. I'll take it. Because we are looking pretty good doing it. I'm biased, but at this rate, we can beat anybody.

Except New England. And those skilled lucky bastards pulled one out again. Hey Ravens, I know the pain. Ed Reed's fumble at the end of a great INT and then fumbles and gives NE a fresh set of downs...big mistake as Ahnold once said in his dud smiley faced eyeball movie "The Last Action Hero". How many 4th and whatever threads can the Pats pull out? Oh I'm getting off subject, freakin' New England. I hate they squeaky clean cheatin' hearts. Good and talented cheaters though, that got swept under the rug. Back to the mid tier powerhouse, the Chargers.

Here is Drayton Florence with a nice INT of a pass intended for Eddie Kennison. Weddle throws a little smack into it for an assist.

How about eight sacks in one game for our own tenacious dee! 8 sacks? Hell yeah!  I throw out props to Jyles Tucker, a week ago he was on the practice squad when I gave him a shout out about his unexpected "promotion". Jyles went from practice dog to mad dog in the real games, Jyles got a sack, good job baybee, feels good don't it? Merriman wrapped up KC qb's 3 times all by his lonesome. And the secondary hauled in 3 INT's to boot. Big play defense is what we need. And we are getting it. Our defense leads the NFL in INT's with 20! I'm likin' this. The defense is solid. Big plays are the norm now, some game changing. We lacked this early in the season. We are lot lacking now. Puttin' the fear back in defense, you don't want any part of it.

LT passed "Sweetness" Walter Payton for sole possesssion of 3rd on the all time rushing yards list. Awesome. had 2 TD's to boot. Four runs of 25 yds or more for a rushing total of 177 yds. Just another day. Another weapon that was on the down low early in the season. Now busting out big time. Philip was solid if not unspectacular but he is playing well and not throwing games away. He is hitting his targets on the fly a lot more. Timing is returning. He still scares me in the big game though. But it's night and day from where he was at 3 weeks ago.

Lovely Kansas City, when we see you again it will be too soon. Least you got BBQ and the Royals, I mean least you got BBQ! Do KC McDonald's sell that lovely McRib sandwich the year round? Sawdust pork pressed into a rib shape', pork tofu. We realistically can win out and finish 11-5. Least case scenario I see is 10-6, AFC West Champs. I think we clinch with a win on the road at Tennessee. Then we get the crumbling Lions at home. After that, the down and almost out Broncos come to the Murph next. A game that looked easy on the schedule is the 12/30 contest @ Oakland. This may be the toughest test of all. Win out Bolts, make up for that weak start. Make the Pats, and Indy worry some. Bolts are baaaaaaaack!
