A Tiger In Our Tank

O boi, uh, been drinkin' since a half past 10 (am) and just woke up at 10pm! Hey! That opening line sounds like a GeorgeThroughgood song, with a happy ending! Had a good day with the Bolt boys...fer reals, none of us ever gave up. We were watchers though, not playahs. We finally won a close one, with Cartman AUTHORITAH!

But must admit, the Charger faithful at our sport's bar, Claudia's in Portland Orygun, about 10 strong yesterday stared at the screen in stunned silence. We came out of the gate flat as a pancake. Sloth like. The 1st half was dispiriting but aye me Chargers brothers n sistahs, could ya see the light at the end of the field entry tunnel? Aye, I saw it too. And walked toward it's Blue and gold transluscence and found victory. We saw the mountain in the 2nd half and scaled it quickly. But the journey was not without peril. Anxiety peril that started the 2nd half, unbearable.

And an older Charger fan like me sees a game like this and gets deja vu. Like you have seen this before. Rivers was the ghost of Fouts. He hangs in the pocket so long, he be hangin' pictures on the wall. But you also have nagging thoughts of blow outs past that started like this, and didn't end up like this. I seem to remember alot of Fouts era games where we lost like 49-46 cause the dee was decent at best. To come back in the sea of black and orange from a 28-7 defecit and roar out of the gate in the 2nd like we did, pure lightning magic.

The 2nd half was all kind of like watching a blur of effectiveness on the Charger's part. LT said in an interview after the game it was like being in a cartoon. Cool. Our game has been moved to Sunday Night Prime Time with the cool new "flex" schedule. So get ready for sole posession.
