OT Thrillah!

SD: 23   WASH:  17

I had a cool blog up for the game for a couple of days. I accidentally erased 6 paragraphs while trying for my 1st pics on the blog. POOF! Gone. What a drag. May put up a much condensed version tonight. Pre game blog for the dreaded but not feared Raiders coming too. In our house. Awesome.

Skinned Knees

This blog entry will be completed tonight w/a passion. Cause the Bolts and I have a new found passion for winning...big. Except for Indy I see us running the table possibly. And we may well surprise Indy, except it would be no surprise to me after last years game against them that we gave away.

Wanna scream like Howard Dean. "Then were gonna go to Washington, and take back the White House, and the Chargers will annilhilate the Skins, yeeeeeeeahhhhsqeakyelp!" Our host here at AOL Bloggers, Mr. J.M., is gonna have Chrissie Hynde singing in his ear, "It is time for you to stop all of your sobbing" I feel it again...

HEY! I'M WALKIN' HERE

Victory to the world. 7 miles east of LaMesa and to the borders of the OC. Hear my shout. Called it baybee. Steve Malkamus from Pavement shout, "We Got the $$" and the yummy gurly tee shirt smell. Pervert...NO...Charrger fan...yeah...only semi coherent holmes!!! Grapes stomped, twween the toes. Wine sucks les it be fermented to bubbilia.

Who ze gonna follow? All ya. Told ya a baybee would never get his against my Bolts. JP got lost in a bubble gum blue swirl. Pounded on the ghetto cycle with roughened water. We ruled...only Buffalo.

Get me on the f*ckin' plane to DC. Calling a mad blow out in DC. Wish ya'll the best. Like old skool lectric football the skins will be vibrating against a corner. While we waltz. In ur house on ur floor. And smirk a little.

Drunkabilia. I just signed your ass away. Is it on Ebay? Your ass I mean? Cuz if your on my schedule your ass is MINE! I see a Skin on the horizon.

DOLLA BILL/CHARGERS POWD PIMPIN'!

BACK TO THE DAY, OF THE TITANS IN POWDER BLUE. That's right powder blue, wanna make something of it? It always gets me goin' when we go throwback, makes the hair on your neck stand up. Am I the only one smelling blow out? Coming out of the bye week this is our 2nd season. Approach it with utmost intensity. And clean house.

I know that Losman is supposedly the future of Bill football and all. He had a game last week and performed decently. But he has yet to earn league respect yet. One game does not a gamer QB make.  If it goes my way JP will see nothing but San Diego blue sky on his ass all day.  And happen it will. But thats as far as I go in calling winners and losers. The blue crystal ball with bolts says this: SD wins 35-20. There I called a score, a rarity. I'm feelin' it.

The bye week killed me. My clothes are laid out metro sexual style for the game.  Will the powder blue tee go with the jeans, the black or white Chucks, and should I wear the powder blue beanie w/classic bolt or 80's Zubaz ball cap? Wait, that is kinda gay. Jeeves, what do you think of the ensemble I have thrown together together? Perfectly stylin' for a return to the field for some Charger ass kickin' football.

I'll be back in classic blogging form post game tomorrow.  As Thin Lizzy said in their song "The Boys Are Back in Town"..."The drinks will flow and blood will spill". I'm on the sauce tomorrow, woo hoo! The Bolts is baaaaaaaaack! Slowly but surely, rising to the top where we belong.

Powder Buff

Pre game Blog for the Buffalo game will be typed tonight. I haven't been able to blog for a week due to AOL technical difficulties. The "Save" button dosen't save. Seems to work today but thats where i'm off to. We are wearing powder blue at home this Sunday...lookout Buffalo. More coming later...

How Much Can A Bolt Fan Take?

Well I nailed the Chargers score dead on, 31 points. But the Jets who I said would tally 17 did alot better than that. 26 to be exact. We win precariously 31-26. Our timing for grandiose turnovers at the most inoppurtune times is uncanny, almost surreal. We were coasting, but not rolling. I think replacing Vinny w/Bollinger threw us for a loop and he played well. Now I'll say it, the Jets should have pulled this out. The Jets remained strong as alot of their roster was dropping like flies in an ice storm.

I can't blame Drew for the late fumble, but I'm losing years off the back end of my life watching these games. We have a flair for making games dramatic when they never should have been. When the Jets got the unneccessary roughness penalty on Donnie Edwards' and had 1st and goal with time running out at the one I must admit, as die hard and positive as I try to be, I was sure we were going to lose, give it away. The dee stiffened. And our pourous pass dee came alive on those last 4 downs. I say good job defense, but again, never should have come down to that. Who needs nail clippers when you root for the Bolts? I was wishing I wore sandals so I could bite my toenails, ewwwww!

LT. One man wrecking crew. The complete offensive player and more. Ran for 3 TD's and caught one. He had 107 yds. rushing and I'm not sure of this stat, butI think we haven't lost when he rushes for more than 100 this season. Gates was fantastic as usual. The WR's were fairly quiet all afternoon. The defense was only adequate, and pass dee was weak but rose when it needed to. All in all, its in the W column and thats all that matters to me. But it would be nice to just roll it up like we did against NE and the NY Giants, but nooooooo.

Finish, finish, finish. The jugular baybee. We have let everyone hang close, too close. We have the talent to rip teams like this. But we don't. The Brees fumble was hard to take at the point in the game where it came. I almost lost it and expletives flowed from my mouth. How many times can this happen to one team? Hopefully not much more. We'll come off the bye week strong. Kinda funny how we have played 4 teams coming off their bye week. Thanks schedule makers, I know you didn't mean it, right! I drank so much coffee my hands are shaking like Axl Rose after a week long bender. Caffiene and adrenalin, not the good kind of adrenaline, the nervous kind, was rushing through my body the entire 4th quarter.

The other thing that ticks me and some may call it "west coast paranoia" is the freakin' announcers are biased as hell. They say some good sh*t about LT, but rave on about the heart of the Jets, and Brooks, and Martin. It gets old. The proof is on the field gentleman. Us "Westies" all think the media never gives any of our teams credit and I thoroughly believe it. Shut the f*ck up Jets homers. Its a downer and there is a world west of the mighty Mississippi. And it includes the Chargers so get used to it. We took out both teams from the Apple (Jersey) this year and it can't be undone. I like fairly impartial broadcasters on the nat'l level. If I lived in SD I would turn down the sound on the TV and listen to the local "homer" broadcast on local radio. Hank Bauer knows how to call a game and it would be my choice to listen to some positive than 3 hrs of "Whats gonna happen to the Chargers now?" I see where it comes from but bite me, ok?

So as much as I hate byes, this one comes at a perfect time. Were gonna refresh like Febreeze and make Buffalo burgers out of the Bills in 2 weeks, mark my words. Then on to DC where we'll put down Marky Mark and the Redskin Funky Bunch. What am I gonna do next week? Byessuck but this is a good one. Maybe I'll bake cookies and drink Pinot Grigio and get in touch w/my feminine side. Rent a copy of "Fried Green Tomatos". Or knit a Charger sweater or some Bolt coasters to drink my Patron' shots on. Nah. I'll watch some games and hope for a little help, anything that helps the Chargers. But its difficult to not look forward to Sunday. Good job in the end SD, Bolts...we got the power.

The JETS...now!

For me, this is a rivalry game. And one that keeps biting our asses for a ways back as I remember. I think we are on a 3 game losing streak back to another powder blue letdown in 2002 to the Jets. Last yrs playoff game and one in between. This is a "should win" game along with a bit of a "must win" tag thrown in. Its time to live up to the standard that has been set for us and that this team is capable of. Let's finish this, early.

On a coincidental note, but historical nonetheless.  The last time the Chargers beat the Jets was in NJ in Dec. 1994 to clinch the AFC West. I was there in person and took a load of sh*t from Jet fans. We were 21-6 victors and I was happy and I look forward to feeling that way again this weekend.  Think Curtis Martin was around. I think alot of the hostility I took was over the fact I went with a Vogue runway model (Hi Deanna!) and she topped any of the Butto fucoesque hotties(think Fran Drescher at 65) I saw around me at the Meadowlands, by far. I never cracked though I was taunted. To make a long story short, I had a great day at the game and an even more awesome evening. Who says you can't steal a model's heart (amongst other things!) by a day full of fresh grapefruit juice vodka greyhounds, NJ Transit busses, a Charger game, and a walkaround NYC afterward culminating in a victorious bliss I'd say never...but happen it did. Being a Charger fan has been an experience throughout the years and I have met tons of cool people. Man, the 90's rocked in my life and the Charger fan part too!

Another omen. The last 3 we have lost to the Jets have been in our house so we must get it straight in theirs. Or is it the Giants? Poor little Jets, ain't got a real home. Meadowlands time share stadium for the Jets. I always admired Wayne Chrebet, for what seemed minimal WR skills he has had a nice career and makes huge catches. But who will throw to Wayne? Brookes n Vinny, a bad country duo? I can throw gas on the fire. The Jets always seem to bring their "A" game when they play us. Recent history proves it.

I look for all cylinders to be firing for the Bolts this weekend. Run, pass, short and long, good pass dee, great dee line play...all of it. We need to finish in all aspects. Every turnover we get we must seal the deal...wooden stake it. Finish it, for good. Unlike monster movies, when we put em down they'll stay down.

The Jets will hear, on constant Muzak rotation in their helmets all afternoon long: Don't Go Breakin' My Heart by Elton John and Kiki Dee.  That just ain't gonna motivate. I hope the Jets do what celeb sports commentator Jim Rome wants his son to do in in soccer career...JUST QUIT! Hopefully by the 3rd quarter we can crack our capri suns, orange slices in baggies, and Stoli and celebrate a Charger victory in, no, not NYC or even NY...Joisy, the cauliflower ear of the coast! Spawn to Bon Jovi and all things evil in music. Does anyone admit to going to school at Rutgers? Jersey, home of spandex culture. Motly Crue 80's hair is prevalent as is the "hockey mullet".  Get ready for a little thunder n lightnin', cuz like the Monkees...were comin' to your town!

Yo Vinny! Here come the Charger Dee again. Hope you feel invincible this Sunday. Jet dee, here comes LT, AG, KMQ, CP and Drew. We will attone for our shoddy moments. We'll still be contendahs after this game, one over .500 and an injury healing bye week. For once it all goes "according to plan". Clock work. The plan is to make the playoffs and progress. I still think we can win the West, keep your eyes open. CHARGERS!!!
